Day 1-2: Introduction to AI and Theater Basics
Activities: Introduction to basic AI tools, guided workshop on AI-assisted scriptwriting, and ensemble-building theater games.
Objective: Students gain familiarity with AI as a creative tool and learn foundational theater skills, such as character creation and group dynamics.
Day 3-5: Production Design with AI
Activities: Hands-on sessions for AI-assisted design of props, costumes, and set visuals, along with sound and lighting basics. This includes using MidJourney for visual design and a tech introduction to sound design.
Objective: Equip students with skills to design theatrical elements using AI and understand how these elements contribute to the play’s atmosphere and narrative.
Day 6-8: Rehearsal and Refinement
Activities: Scene blocking, team-based rehearsal exercises, integrating designed elements like sound and lighting, and tech crew workshops.
Objective: Develop timing, stage presence, and ensemble cooperation. The tech crew refines production elements for a cohesive design that aligns with the story’s tone and style.
Day 9: Dress Rehearsal
Activities: Full dress rehearsal with costumes, props, and technical integration.
Objective: Prepare students for a live performance, focusing on timing, stage transitions, and tech support to ensure a polished presentation.
Day 10: Performance and Certificate Ceremony
Activities: Final run-through, performance for peers, family, and friends, followed by a certificate presentation.
Objective: Showcase the complete production, emphasizing student collaboration and the integration of AI-assisted creative elements.
